My Vagiant
A recent report in British Medical Journal takes to task a recent trend in plastic surgery called "elective genitoplasty". These big words are code for "designer vagina". The surgery usually involves decreasing the size and length the labia, but can also involve a reduction in the hood of skin covering the clitoris or shortening the vagina itself.
The article argues that the growth in popularity of this procedure has been spurred by an artificial concern that media, society and culture has created in women. The authors cite anecdotal evidence that pornography plays a big part many woman's decision to have the $4,000 - $6,000 operation. During initial consultations "some women brought along images to illustrate the desired appearance, usually from advertisements or pornography that may have been digitally altered."
The writers issue a stern warning for those thinking about going under the knife for what amounts to a generally psychological shortcoming: "Surgery is an extreme and unproved intervention in this instance and it should be thought of as the last resort, not the first port of call."
The rationale behind undergoing labiaplasty seems to echo that of breast enlargement...it's a decision woman believe might add to their quality of life.
Here at HustlerWorld we applaud women who take it upon themselves to gussy up their lady blossoms. Not every vagina we've seen resembles the lovely flowers painted by Georgia O'Keeffe. We hate to admit this, but in fact, some are downright scary to look at. We could cite examples, but most of our ex-girlfriends don't know we took those pictures. They might be pissed if we broadcast their cooters on the Internets.
And while we admit that this surgery absolutely, totally unnecessary, if getting the old va-j-j trimmed allows a woman to feel more confident in herself and her sexuality, bring on the forceps.
