One of the brave soldiers brought back a video of his sergeant declaring, The difference between an insurgent and an Iraqi civilian is whether they are dead or alive. The soldier explains: If you kill a civilian, he becomes an insurgent because you retroactively make him a threat. Gruesome photos accompany the article.

Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey, who was responsible for outing Republican Senator David Vitter as a client. Maier, now retired, outlines a pattern of alleged homicide that targeted call girls who knew too much about their powerful clients. These women were all found hanged the victims of suicide, if you believe the official reports. Included on that list is a woman rumored to have entertained former Deputy Secretary of State Randall Tobias.
